The Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago (LAGBAC) extends its heartfelt and deepest condolences to those impacted by the tragedy at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando. LAGBAC stands in solidarity with the innocent victims who lost their lives or are struggling with physical and/or emotional injuries resulting from this tragedy, including the friends and families of those killed and injured.
The Orlando massacre reminds us that notwithstanding the tremendous progress LGBTQ Americans have made, we are still vulnerable. Like all Americans, we are in need of basic civil rights and human rights protections. Such protections include the passage of sensible gun laws. LAGBAC calls on our political leaders to address this issue without delay.
